ABOUT CARLIE RANSOM

After running a successful financial planning business for seven years, and public school and college classrooms for twelve years, Carlie wondered how she could best leverage her background to make the largest impact on environmental and social justice causes.  After interviewing dozens of nonprofits, she determined that funding strategy, confidence in financial systems, and grant writing are the three major pain points for many organizations, which happen to be Carlie’s areas of strength.  

Carlie remembers the joy of writing and winning grants as a science teacher and now loves bringing this joy to others. She loved helping physicians create financial plans, and helping nonprofits with her knack for numbers is even more aligned to her values. As the founder of Kupala Ventures, she now provides funding strategy, financial coaching, and grant writing services to several clients across the country and utilizes her international grant writing collective as needed for grant projects. On the personal side, she loves laughing and playing outdoors with her husband and two boys and dancing with Samba Colorado.
